Agrocluster Ribatejo was in Mexico between November 7 and 11 with some of the Natureef project partners. The trip, carried out under this European project, had the objective of preparing a business mission to this country that is expected to happen next year, with the participation of several European SMEs in the renewable energy, biotechnology, agro-food waste management, agricultural and biomass technologies sectors.
The agenda of the trip included the participation in the Expo Agroalimentaria de Guanajuato, the most important agro-food trade fair in this country.
In addition, the Langebio – Genetic Research Laboratory for Biodiversity was visited, where testimonies were collected in the field of species breeding, breeding of new varieties and sequencing of genomes, and the Agropark High-Tech Greenhouse Cluster, the only greenhouse center in America and the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey in Guadalajara.
Based on the prospect visit report, the Natureef project will organize a business mission to European SMEs in the second half of 2017 and will be led by the French cluster Vegepolys, with the support of the other partners of the project.
